With today being Thanksgiving, I thought I would be predictable and write a simple post about what I’m thankful for. At times it can be a little difficult to remember that we can be thankful for blessings in our lives more often than just one day a year. But God has been so abundantly kind to us in this decaying world, the least we can do is thank Him for it.
I thank the Lord for…
The breathtaking sunsets and sunrises He paints every day. I cannot describe the peace I feel when I get to witness sunsets like these. Every time I see one, I marvel at God’s creativity and beauty all over again. Sunrises are amazing too, but let’s be real, I don’t see too many of those unless I’m at work.
The new life He creates that I get to call family. I absolutely adore all my nieces and nephews. There are only three of them pictured here but I actually have seven “niblings” (apparently that’s the correct collective term for nieces and nephews?).
The four seasons. Most people have favorite seasons and seasons they can’t stand, but I think there is truly something beautiful in each. It seems like a simple thing, but in times when the air turns cold it’s like a whole other world out there. I love it.
These really are just a few of the things that have brought a little goodness to my life. Others include the rest of my family, my church family, my health, and of course my sweet Lord who is my Rock and my strength in all walks of life. Without Him I would be nothing.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
