Baby, It’s Cold Outside

The end-of-year holidays are just around the corner. And I mean just around the corner. Since when was Thanksgiving only two weeks away?? Anyhow, since the holidays are coming, it’s the perfect time to talk about two of the tastiest Vitality EOs Young Living has to offer: Cinnamon Bark and Peppermint. We can taste that cinnamon flavor in pumpkin pie and sweet potato souffle, and peppermint makes it difficult to stop eating those sugar cookies and ice cream. But cinnamon and peppermint are so much more than flavors to use during the holidays.

Cinnamon Bark/Cinnamon Bark Vitality

I made sure to include Cinnamon Bark in my order for October, and when I opened the bottle, I could not believe how amazing it smelled! It was like the entire fall season was having a party inside my nostrils. It actually made me go and immediately buy oils like Clove and Nutmeg just to create that perfect fall scent. I have diffused it several times (I would recommend diffusing only one to two drops of Cinnamon Bark at a time, as it is very potent and can be overwhelming in a small area) and I love the atmosphere it creates. Throw in a blanket, a cup of hot cocoa, and a fireplace and you’re all set for the impending cold weather.

I also recently received (for FREE!) Cinnamon Bark Vitality. This does not smell any different than the regular bottle of Cinnamon Bark, but it can be used internally, which means you can still make all your favorite fall desserts and Thanksgiving appetizers, just in a safer and yummier way!

Peppermint/Peppermint Vitality

Now this oil is a favorite among us oilers, and it comes in the starter kit! It has the purest peppermint smell you can imagine, which makes it a great oil to use in the sniffly seasons. One of my favorite ways to use it so far is to put a few drops of Peppermint, a few drops of Lemon, and a few drops of Lavender in the diffuser when that seasonal discomfort comes creeping in. I always have a roller bottle of this blend handy, too. Like Lavender, Peppermint is perfect for promoting relaxation. I know there are too many days when we come home from work and just want to jump in the bath, or when a massage is much needed after an intense workout. Next time, try adding a few drops of Peppermint to the bath and enjoy your own in-home spa. I know I will!

One of the things I love about Peppermint Vitality is how good it is for our bodies! Why do you think you’re always popping a mint in your mouth after a heavy dinner? And I’m sure we all know that one person who always has some mint gum on hand when we want it. Just the simple act of adding a single drop of Peppermint Vitality to a glass of water in the morning can provide a vitalizing start to your morning routine. Or you can include a Peppermint-infused vegetable capsule with your daily supplements to help with overall support in digestive health. And of course, Peppermint Vitality is encouraged to be included with ALL your Christmas desserts!

So whether you love to cozy up with some blankets and a movie, you need a little pick-me-up, or you find yourself endlessly in the kitchen this season making up desserts everyone loves, don’t forget to include some Cinnamon Bark and Peppermint in your day. As with all these essential oils I talk about, I would love to send you a sample for you to try out and fall in love with. Or I can answer any questions you might have about the oils or other products, or about anything else on your mind! thelemonlife@aol.com
